Louis Roth is a documentary photographer from Berlin, exploring the intersection of reality and fiction in his work. His subjects often delve into socio-political themes, occasionally dystopian, while other projects take a more romantic approach, examining alternative lifestyles and questioning capitalist norms. His images invite viewers in with calm compositions, encouraging deeper reflection on multiple thematic layers.
His recent project fata morgana debuted at the group exhibition ACHTZEHN, graduating from Ostkreuzschule für Fotografie. The project has earned recognition at international photography awards, including the LUMA Rencontres Dummy Book Award and the Snider Prize, and has been featured in ZEIT Magazin.

Louis Roth is a documentary photographer from Berlin. In his work he explores real manifestations of fictional narratives.
He recently debuted his project fata morgana, graduating with the group exhibition ACHTZEHN from Ostkreuz School of Photography in Berlin. With fata morgana, he has been nominated for several german and international photography awards such as the LUMA Rencontres Dummy Book Award and the Portraits Hellerau Award.
